Mr. Satyamoorthy, Principal Evangelist, JBoss Division, RedHat India, officially inaugurated the launch of InApp's JBoss Center of Excellence (JBoCE), a first in India, on February 7, at the Malabar Hall, Technopark. The event was organized as part of InApp Tech Days. Dignitaries who attended include Mr. R. Narayanan, VP, TCS and Chairman of InApp's Board of Directors; Mr. Sankar Krishnan, ex-partner, McKinsey and Member of InApp's Board; Mr. Amarnath Raja, InApp's CEO and Chair, IEEE Kerala Chapter; Mr. Satish Babu, InApp's President and Secretary, CSI National Council; Mr. Vijay Kumar, COO, InApp; and Mr. Jayakrishnan M. By launching the JBoss Center of Excellence, InApp, a RedHat partner, and a pioneer in the spread of open source technologies in India, hopes to bring the benefits of JBoss to the e-governance scenario in India, their customers, and the larger public. JBoss offers the services and software that integrates with products such as the JBoss Application Server, the first Java EE 5 certified open source application server; Apache Jakarta Tomcat, the most popular Java Servlet and JavaServer Pages web container; the Hibernate object/relational mapping engine; and JBoss jBPM open source business process management software.
InApp has acquired Datec Systems, India, a T&M consulting company, thus nearly doubling its size. This acquisition will help InApp become a full-fledged Software Services company with both offshore and onsite presence. InApp will now be able to meet customer and project needs with onsite teams. Datec also has strong recruitment and placement capabilities and have sourced technical experts from US, India and Southeast Asia for placement around the world.

The main feature of improvement in this version is, to provide an easy way to monitor the customer engagement activity. Activity tracking is a crucial business protocol for any world class selling organization like SUN Microsystems.
InApp and Sigma-Tau, Gaithersburg, US, are poised for a long term relationship with discussions progressing on various areas of cooperation. The first software being developed for Sigma-Tau is an enhancement to the existing e-commerce application using Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 and EDI exchange with their e-commerce facilitation center.
SuperSalon, a Point of Sales software is in the final stages of development. This is being developed for an US based Retail Solution provider. Supersalon POS is a multi-user product developed for use in single or multi-store retail chains. Additionally the software manages the Inventory and Payroll at the retail chain outlets.
InApp has entered into a Product Partnership with MPulse Maintenance Software Inc. during October 2006. InApp will do the maintenance of the Desktop, Web and Mobile applications of MPulse CMMS. For smooth functioning of this model a dedicated team was set up in InApp. This is a new model of working for both MPulse and InApp and is expected to perfect systems and processes to enable us to replicate it with other clients who desire similar services.
InApp developed PhotoTool, a solution to enhance the quality of services provided by the Duke University Department of Photography. The Duke University Photography Portal Phase III was started on 30th November, 2006. This latest phase will replace the Canto Cumulus Server, used currently by Duke University Photography Dept, with InApp's own Asset Management Server.
Alpha release of Insight Onsite construction site management product has been completed. The application is designed to automate the documentation requirement of the construction business with a PDA extension. It also has a PDA extension which enables the engineers to record issues during inspection of a site and generate reports. The clients have expressed satisfaction of the alpha release. Beta release is expected soon.
Opman, a product InApp has been helping "Opportunity Interactive" to develop for the past 4 years, has released its Version 3.3. Opman has recently been on Prime Time TV! CNBC covered the story of how a small company caught the attention of world leaders in HVAC industry through their software. InApp is proud to be associated with "Opportunity Interactive" in bringing out this product.
Development of the Content Management System for the Internet and Intranet site of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is in progress.
Final version of a software application for the Quality Control Department of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) was released in September 2006. This application scrutinises and analyses measurements for the mechanical components of launch vehicles developed by external agencies. Currently the application supports Light Alloy Structures and ISRO is in the process of extending to other components.
