SCAMPs
Standardized Clinical Assessment and Management Plan (SCAMPs) is used in healthcare field, as a robust, practical, and effective system to standardize care and to gather, analyze, and act on relevant clinical data in a flexible and continuous way. This will lead to reduce practice variability, optimize resource utilization, and enhance patient care. Each SCAMP outlines a sound, standardized care pathway for a somewhat diverse patient population with a particular diagnosis or condition.Currently SCAMPs is used at Children’s Hospital Boston and other hospitals to significantly impact cost and quality of care.
There are multiple tools developed for supporting the creation and usage of SCAMPS. The major ones are Pocket Code, Path Maker and Path Finder.
